Here it is. The article where they openly say that there is nothing between Sherlock and John but friendship. 

I shouldn’t feel this depressed about it. It is just a show.  A show that I love and will continue to watch because it is quality. But I had worked myself up to a point that I really wanted it. And it feels like it was all just a fucking tease. I need ice cream.

I know that I can, and will, continue to ship it, but it sucks that they have blown my ship out of the water. 

Dude, I know how you feel. I mean, it doesn’t change that they’re my OTP forever and fucking ever, but… I thought it was more than plausible, y’know? I thought it was going to happen without doubt, especially after ASiB…

…Actually, ignore all that. It’s the shock talking. I’ll always hold out hope for them.

I think all the other Johnlock shippers should just form a lynch-mob and kill me, because I wouldn’t change a single thing about how the show is handling the relationship. There’s a few things to take into consideration- first, the show deals very closely with canon. It’s really hard to take two MAIN characters who are not in love in canon lovers in an adaptation.

Second, I find the story of platonic love so much more intriguing than any sort of romantic and sexual bond. We’re raised in a society where we’re taught to value romantic love above all else, and we seem to disregard the important bonds we form where sex isn’t in the equation: where someone is so important to us that they become like family, but more. The most important thing about Sherlock and John is that they’re the most important person in the other’s life. It’s not about shagging like rabbits or holding hands at crime scenes, it’s about caring about someone more than yourself and putting them first in your life. 

So yes, I will still always spend a large amount of my free time reading/writing about the other things, but I think as long as they continue as they are with the actual series I will be satisfied. Also, if you’re not satisfied, feel free to have the rage. Because when there are holes blown in your ship it sucks, these are just my feelings.
